Landscape in autumn

The Königswalde cultural landscape trail has five topical routes that focus on the settlement history and the historical economies and daily lives of the inhabitants of the Ore Mountains.
Following old paths, we walk through the transformation of the landscape until we reach the landscape familiar to us today. It is interesting to see how the rural working and living conditions have changed since back then. The landscape has a story to tell...

The rosehip route

The rosehip route

The rosehip route is a discovery trail that takes you through the green heart of the hedgerow landscape of the Ore Mountains. There are few experiences in Germany that rival this signposted walking route. It provides you with a unique testament to a bygone era, including terraced fields that are steeped in history, the clearance cairn landscape of the Pöhlberg area and the forest clearing villages of Geyersdorf, Mildenau and Königswalde.
